Dr. Sheka Houston

Dr. Sheka Houston is the Chief Operations Officer and Strategist for Create and Educate, LLC.

She is also a speaker, best-selling author and senior consultant for the company.  She is known as one of the Systems DoctHers from her weekly livestream, The REALL Academy that airs every Saturday at 10:30 am Est. as a part of the Fantastic IV Livestream Network.

 

Dr. Houston has more than 28 years of experience in industry and education, serving as a business teacher for 5 years, an assistant principal for 8 years, and a principal for 5 years.  She is currently entering her 4th year as the Director of Secondary Interventions for Chester County School District and was the first African-American Principal of her middle school and with the help of her dynamic staff members raised the school report card grade two levels in one year.

Dr. Houston is an award-winning teacher, principal and business woman being honored as Teacher of the Year, the STEAM School of Excellence Award, the Palmetto Silver Award for Academic Growth, and the Local Entrepreneurs Accelerator Program Award.  She earned her Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University.  She was able to successfully transfer the knowledge gained from her dissertation studies into a successful business that helps leaders, teachers, children and parents. 

 

Finally, Dr. Houston serves on the board for The Medical University of South Carolina for Chester County Hospital, Girls on the Run Tri-County, the Chester County 4-H Program and serves the youth at Steele Creek Church of Charlotte.  Dr. Houston leads through the lens of a mom and her daughters, Elizabeth Houston who is 13, and Isabella Houston who is 10 are her inspirations as well as her faith.  She is most passionate about giving those without a voice volume and shining a light on those not readily seen by others.
